Their liver never gets a day off.
Digestion, metabolism, detoxification, immunity — your dog's liver has a
hand in all of it. It's one of the hardest-working organs they have,
and the one owners think about least.
Some of this might be your dog
Another year of leaving the liver off the list looks like
Our team wants you to meet the organ behind all that.
The hardest-working organ
The liver is an extremely important organ in the body. It plays many
roles in the overall health of the pet, including digestion, nutrient
absorption, metabolism, detoxification, immunity, and
endocrinologically.
Processing what passes through
Part of that work is processing what passes through the body — the liver
handles drugs, steroidal hormones, environmental toxins, and ammonia.
If your pet is on long-term medication because they need it, their liver
does that processing work each day. The medication stays as your vet
prescribed it. The organ doing the work is what may appreciate some
support.

Before you decide
My dog is on daily medication — can they take this? +
Liver Guard aids liver metabolism, so it may interfere with many medications. You can still give it — but give it at least two hours away from administering medications. It should be given away from the administration of drugs, and caution taken in epilepsy and in pregnant bitches.
My pet has diagnosed liver disease. Is it suitable? +
If your cat or dog has liver disease, please administer with caution and consult your veterinarian. Begin with half the recommended dose, in the morning only. If your dog has a liver injury or disease, this product may be suitable — and your vet stays in charge of the plan.
What about a liver shunt? +
Liver shunts vary in severity — always consult your veterinarian if you are concerned. We do have clients who give their liver shunt dogs Liver Guard successfully.
Can my cat take it? +
Yes — this product is designed with cats in mind too.
Is this a forever supplement? +
It depends why you're giving it. If your cat or dog's liver is in need, such as injury or disease, then yes, it can be given long term. If you're giving it as a little health detox, we don't suggest giving it for longer than three months at a time.
