The liver's daily workload

Their liver never gets a day off.

Digestion, metabolism, detoxification, immunity — your dog's liver has a
hand in all of it. It's one of the hardest-working organs they have,
and the one owners think about least.

02 Recognition

Some of this might be your dog

1
The occasional early morning sickness, yellow and frothy, that comes and goes.
2
Rich or fatty food that doesn't seem to sit right.
3
Long-term medication they take because they need it.
4
An older dog you'd love to see back to their old self.
None of it dramatic on its own. All of it passing through one organ.
03 The Cost

Another year of leaving the liver off the list looks like

You brush their teeth. You look after their joints and their coat. The organ working hardest rarely makes the list.
Mornings that start with clearing up, and wondering.
Dinners chosen around what won't upset them.
The nagging sense that they're a bit flat, without knowing where to point.
04 Why the liver deserves support

Our team wants you to meet the organ behind all that.

The one doing the quiet work, every day.
1

The hardest-working organ

The liver is an extremely important organ in the body. It plays many
roles in the overall health of the pet, including digestion, nutrient
absorption, metabolism, detoxification, immunity, and
endocrinologically.

2

Processing what passes through

Part of that work is processing what passes through the body — the liver
handles drugs, steroidal hormones, environmental toxins, and ammonia.
If your pet is on long-term medication because they need it, their liver
does that processing work each day. The medication stays as your vet
prescribed it. The organ doing the work is what may appreciate some
support.

This is where a century of combined clinical experience matters: we're a team of highly qualified pet nutrition and veterinary professionals with over 100 years' experience between us.

11 Good questions

Before you decide

My dog is on daily medication — can they take this? +

Liver Guard aids liver metabolism, so it may interfere with many medications. You can still give it — but give it at least two hours away from administering medications. It should be given away from the administration of drugs, and caution taken in epilepsy and in pregnant bitches.

My pet has diagnosed liver disease. Is it suitable? +

If your cat or dog has liver disease, please administer with caution and consult your veterinarian. Begin with half the recommended dose, in the morning only. If your dog has a liver injury or disease, this product may be suitable — and your vet stays in charge of the plan.

What about a liver shunt? +

Liver shunts vary in severity — always consult your veterinarian if you are concerned. We do have clients who give their liver shunt dogs Liver Guard successfully.

Can my cat take it? +

Yes — this product is designed with cats in mind too.

Is this a forever supplement? +

It depends why you're giving it. If your cat or dog's liver is in need, such as injury or disease, then yes, it can be given long term. If you're giving it as a little health detox, we don't suggest giving it for longer than three months at a time.

Backup for the hardest worker in their body.

Support the liver's function and its daily detoxification work, the way
our nutritionists and vets designed it — helping your pet feel
revitalised and thrive.
